Billy Burke stars as Miles Matheson, a former Marine and warrior who’s been living a reclusive life in NBC’s “Revolution.”

Life and career

William Albert “Billy” Burke (born November 25, 1966) is an American actor.

He is known for his role as Charlie Swan in Twilight and its sequels, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. He is also known for his role as Gary Matheson in the second season of 24. In 2011 he played Cesaire in Red Riding Hood.

His motion picture credits include Jane Austen’s Mafia!, Along Came a Spider, Final Jeopardy, Flashpoint and Ladder 49. His upcoming film credits include The Fallen, Forfeit, Fracture and Retirement. He also appeared in Feast of Love (2007), co-starring Selma Blair and Morgan Freeman. In 2008, Burke appeared in Twilight, based on the best-selling novel by Stephenie Meyer, playing the role of Charlie Swan. He also portrayed Bobby’s brother Jack on the show My Boys. Burke reprised his role as Charlie Swan in Twilight’s sequels, New Moon and Eclipse.

Burke is one of the “famous faces” on the online poker website Hollywood Poker, which is run in conjunction with Ongame Network. In February 2010, Burke was cast as Jonah King, the primary antagonist featured in the thriller Drive Angry, which was directed by Patrick Lussier and co-starred Amber Heard, Nicolas Cage, and William Fichtner. It was released on February 25, 2011.

As of July 2010, Burke appears in the TNT drama series Rizzoli & Isles.

    I saw the pilot. How many ironic “eggs” must we be plastered with? Billie Burke (Oz’s Glinda) could be as aptly cast as this Billy, because it’s a hocus-pocus, hoodoo magicked resemblance of science, and a faint resemblance at that. (Which is not to say it won’t be fun to rip into goofs! For instance, a clear drink bottle would not survive as a canteen if unprotected from sunlight. Will we see locomotives and Stanley Steamers?)
